Atlantic Crossing & Mediterranean 2024 Itinerary Ft Lauderdale, Florida to Rome Civitavecchia

They did take a longish walk to Glass Beach which was OK if you are just killing time like the Bunnies were. Luckily her prayers were soon answered and she felt much better by dinner time. This was helped by Mr. Bunny’s decision to open one of the two wine bottles they had brought with them. The port was a madhouse when the Bunnies returned, owing to three other ships that had arrived in the meanwhile. The Bunnies were happy to escape to their ship and grab some quick veggie burgers on the sunny upper deck.

MAKE HISTORY

Celebrity Cruises allow you to bring two bottles of wine per stateroom to consume onboard. The Bunnies arrived at the ferry terminal in Fort Lauderdale at the very start of the boarding time slot (12 to 3pm) that was assigned to them. On a brighter note, most of their fellow cruisers were clearly pensioners so Bunny instantly felt like a spring chicken. A combination of old world culture and modern day masterpieces, plan ahead and get to know this incredible city. From casual buffets to exquisite specialty restaurants, learn everything there is to know about dining on our ships. Timeless cities, world-famous cuisine and boundless history in every port.

Night Spain & Azores Transatlantic

Where you embark and disembark will determine your route and the ports you potentially call on. Ships repositioning to or from the Baltic Sea and the British Isles generally take a northerly route. Vessels sailing from the Mediterranean cross on a more southerly route, especially if they are repositioning to or from a winter home port in Florida.

Vacation Deals

Offering world-class dining, entertainment, and a new wave of accommodations. No matter the time of day, do more on this ship than you ever thought possible. With so many days at sea, try something new onboard, but also bring your own entertainment — whether that's an e-reader or a good book. Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey across the Atlantic that takes you from Fort Lauderdale to the most exciting cities in Europe. Enjoy blissful days at sea before arriving at the stunning Azores, where you’ll witness jaw-dropping landscapes. Visit Medieval landmarks in Brest, admire historic lighthouses on the Isle of Portland, and fall in love with the City of Light in Paris.

Cross the Atlantic in style, no jet lag required, on a luxury or popular cruise. A transatlantic sailing has a bit of nostalgia and flair for glamour; this is a chance to feel the true clout of a cruise. Not only is the price all-inclusive, but the 728-passenger ship will visit 11 ports in five countries. You'll experience Livorno; Monte Carlo, Monaco; Marseille; Valencia, Barcelona (overnight), Palma de Mallorca, Malaga and Cadiz, Spain; and Lisbon and Madeira. Then, you'll cross the Atlantic and spend an overnight in Hamilton, Bermuda before disembarking in Fort Lauderdale. Start by taking in the scenic beauty of Namibia, with a port call in Luderitz, known for its colorful colonial architecture.

Night 16 Nt Transatlantic Spain & Portugal

For a U.S.-to-Europe eastward crossing, you'd want the opposite — a port-side cabin. As noted above, the best prices are generally in spring and fall for repositioning cruises. These itineraries may also visit several appealing ports in the Mediterranean or Caribbean as well as call on the Azores, Madeira, Canary Islands, Iceland or Bermuda in the Atlantic. The Bunnies waltzed down the empty pier at the Nassau cruise port and looked for a taxi to take them to Cabbage Beach. The ship was scheduled to stay in Nassau only half a day so there was no time for long shore excursions. But Bunny wanted some beach time before heading back to (presumably cold) Europe.

The 1,400-foot-high "rock" itself is a limestone formation, riddled with as many as 140 caves. Traveling to its summit is easy -- and offers splendid views -- via a cable car. At the top is a nature preserve, populated by Barbary apes (macaques). (They're better to watch than to engage.) The old town itself feels more British than anything else, with pubs offering fish and chips.

Visit the planetarium, join a yoga class, dance the night away, or simply bury yourself in a good book. It's your time, and you'll always be free to spend it however you please. As you cross the Atlantic Ocean in the ultimate style, embrace the freedom of the sea, with time to do as much — or as little — as you please. Each stateroom is a personal oasis of calm, offering the very highest luxury at sea. Sumptuous bedding beckons, beautiful balconies celebrate the ocean view, and even a seven-pillow menu option awaits you.

Cunard Transatlantic Cruises

The cruise port of Southampton features tons of diverse attractions that provide insight into England’s culture and storied past, including fortresses, gardens and national parks. Reykjavik was just a small village until seeing a major expansion after World War II, but this popular cruise destination still offers a small town feel different than any other European capital. The seafood is fresh, the sun is shining and there’s a whole lot to do, so get out there and explore the city before, during and after your cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida. Offering both French and Dutch experiences, St. Maarten is a leading destination in the Caribbean. You can always find exciting and interesting activities for everyone on this friendly island.

You’ll find a wonderful choice of activities during the sea days of your transatlantic cruise. Listen to live music, get competitive at a quiz, or try a wine tasting. Indulge in all the different restaurants on board, which range from poolside made-to-order burgers and salads to delicious sushi, contemporary Italian, and clean cuisine in Blu. Take in the endless ocean views from the Magic Carpet on Edge-series ships, and on Solstice-series ships, lie back on the soft grass of the Lawn Club or challenge friends to a game of croquet. Transatlantic cruises offer a vast array of itineraries for all interests and budgets.

Tenerife, a volcanic island that is the largest of the Canaries, is dominated by the gigantic 12,402-foot-high Mount Teide. A day in port is not enough time to sample all that Tenerife has to offer, whether it is picturesque beaches or banana plantations. You can scale a snow-capped mountain, stroll aimlessly through charming villages, hike through a pine forest or play a round of golf. With its lush, mountainous landscapes, Funchal (named for the vast amounts of fennel that grow wild there) reflects its Portuguese heritage.

Choose from itineraries that take you to the castles of the British Isles, the beaches of the Mediterranean and the fjords of Scandinavia and Russia. Feel the thrill of classic cruising while basking in the comfort of home on a cruise across the Atlantic Ocean. A Transatlantic cruise is a once in a lifetime experience on the Norwegian Epic. Crossing the Atlantic Ocean is a centuries old tradition, and now its your chance to share this amazing perspective. Norwegian Epic was just voted "Best Cruise Ship" by Travel Weekly Magazine.

(Pets travel in the ship’s kennel but get daily exercise time and visiting time with their owners several times a day). The first, which we dub a "repositioning" voyage, takes place in spring and fall, when many cruise lines move their ships between seasons in Europe and in the Caribbean. Depending on a ship's speed, it generally takes between six and eight days to cross the Atlantic. Many lines will add a few ports of call, and this may stretch the length of the cruise to two weeks or more. In addition to the lines mentioned above, almost every cruise line offers repositioning and/or itineraries that cross the Atlantic, said Kanise Kelley, of J5Travel/Word Cruise Advisors.

Mr. Bunny stepped up so they didn’t finish last but it was a close call. Bunny was still a bit nervous about the forthcoming bad weather so she chatted up two officers at the buffet. For the first time, the Bunnies ventured out for the buffet breakfast at the Oceanview Cafe, instead of having morning room service.
